The kids had a chance to see a bunch of clowns that were walking up and down the street during the parade. I cant remember this 'clown's' name but it was one of the only in focus pictures I got.

This was taken at the Festival of Light Parade in downtown Colorado Springs. There were about 30 floats and a dozen High School marching bands from around the city. We took the whole family and bundled up in warm coats and brought along a Thermos of soup and one with hot cocoa. I liked the way this photo turned out, because I had to move my camera with the action in order to get a in focus shot, but with this and several others the blurred background adds t the motion of the parade. This one of the last photo shoots that I had with my Olympus E-500 before it got stolen.

Inspired by her recently acquired monkey, Livvy wanted to climb the tree in the front yard. She was very happy to be up high in a tree.
